Four things to mention:

1) I moved into my dorm today... and it was REALLY stressful, as usual. :( And I have so much to do tomorrow... I know I said I'd move into the dorm Monday, but then I found out I'd get to wait later before I moved in.
2) Last Wednesday was the 9th anniversary of the original version of PrtSc Land, and I still don't have a USB floppy drive. So remember how I said I was planning on remaking PSL and putting it up on LiveJournal starting on the 10th or 12th or (some other nice number)th anniversary? It's probably not going to be for the 10th anniversary...
3) Lately I've been working on an Excel spreadsheet with the dates, subject lines, userpic keywords, URLs, etc. of every entry I've posted on LiveJournal - AND notes on what I hope to update in each entry eventually, like adding tags, fixing broken images, etc. so that I can keep track of it all more easily. It's far from being done (even just for entries in my own journal), but I'm hoping to get all that maintenance I've been meaning to do on my old entries finished as soon as I can!
4) Today is the 8th anniversary of my LiveJournal! And, for once, I'm doing the LJ comment stats entry on time!
Although on my computer, bar graphs have lately been looking messed up in entries like this one. Does it do that for anyone else - in this or the other LJ Comment Stats entries?

( Original meme (Warning: I used to try to come up with a unique name for the backwards version of every song I wrote down backwards lyrics to, and some of the names sound weird to me now. Especially when the song has no lyrics and so I just used the "opposite" of the original title.) )

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
7. No cheating and doctoring your list to make yourself look cooler than the person you took this from

You can tell I have a lot of video game music now - and I still haven't actually finished adding all the video game soundtracks that I want on my iPod!

I also removed backwards music from my iPod a while back - I still like backwards music, but at some point it turned out that I wouldn't have enough room for both forwards and backwards versions of every song I have so far.

I also manually added information to make it easier to compare to last year's results. The colors aren't coordinated to the amount of ranks you've went up or down, but rather to (1/y-1/x), where y is your rank this year and x is your rank last year. This means that a jump from, say, 5th to 4th is better than a jump from 23rd to 21st.

Ties, at least for the purposes of how many ranks people went up or down and the colors, are handled by ( I worded this in a weird and kind of cringey way, so I'm retroactively LJ-cutting it in 2018 ) If you weren't on last year's list, you're considered to have been tied for 48th through (how many LJ users there were, are, or will be)th place that year, since there were 47 total commenters.

I think it's interesting how last year there were 47 total commenters and this year there were 74 total commenters :D

EDIT ON MAY 12, 2018: THIS IS THE OLD VERSION OF MY GLOSSARY... or at least the oldest version that was a sticky entry rather than on my profile, anyway. THE NEW GLOSSARY IS... nowhere, yet, but I'm going to FINALLY get around to updating this glossary for the first time in years after I'm done fixing all my entries on both LJ and DW.

I made this sticky entry in 2011, but then I didn't update it much after that and left it outdated for nearly SEVEN YEARS - long enough that I decide I might as well preserve the old version of the glossary, but make it no longer sticky in favor of a NEW sticky entry with the updated glossary.

Everything below this point is as the entry originally appeared, except I got rid of the lj-like buttons. The former subject line was simply "Glossary of Matt1993isms".

I finally got around to updating this glossary and moving it to a sticky post so that it wouldn't clutter up my profile and I could have LJ-cuts to jump to certain sections!

Although the whole point of these multiple LJ-cuts is for ease of navigation (i.e. if I reference a Matt1993ism in the definition of a Matt1993ism in a different section, I'd link to the proper section), I haven't had the time to actually go through and add all these links, so stay tuned for that. I also thought about adding artwork for certain entries *cough*/crazymegavideo/*cough*, so stay tuned for that too. :)

As I said in the old glossary, if you spot a Matt1993ism I used that I haven't defined here, or if FoxReplace messes up the "pucker up because it's time for lunch" entry again, etc., please let me know :)

Too bad I don't have a Matt1993ism that has to do with reposting

(what I wanted to put for the music tag: "Dr. Mario - Chill (SSBB version), Super Mario Galaxy - Speedy Comet and Final Bowser, Enya - Cursum Perficio backwards, and Sarah McLachlan - Black all at once and in G Major")

I visited the college that I am the most interested in from Sunday to Monday, staying overnight in the dorm (like I'd done before at another college).

Although the first day was pretty good, the second day ruined it for me. It all started when the fire alarm went off at 12:30 AM for no reason. Once I realized that it wasn't just imagination, I was hit with the realization that I hadn't quite memorized the fire escape route, so my plan was to just run through random hallways on the floor I was on until I either found the elevator (because I hadn't remembered "oh yeah, I can't use the elevator during a fire or fire drill" yet) or someone who knew where it was. Fortunately, this was actually much sooner than I expected - I heard some guy's voice so I followed him down the stairs and outside the building. Even though there wasn't a fire - the fire alarm came on by accident - it was clear from right then that I wouldn't get anywhere near enough sleep that night, since breakfast was at 7 and I hadn't even fallen asleep once yet. Especially since, in my no-common-sense hurry to get out of my room, I forgot to take my room key with me and ended up having to borrow the master key. Which I accidentally used to open the door to the room next to mine at first.

And, as expected, I briefly woke up and went back to sleep several times starting at 6, eventually becoming awake enough to get up at around 7:30 or 8. By then, my roommate was already gone, and only a few people were downstairs, none of whom knew where to go either. I ended up missing breakfast completely - and I thought I was late that one time at Camp El Tesoro when I got to breakfast just a few minutes before it was over! Throughout the rest of the day, I also got separated from my group and ended up lost 3 more times. :(

The lack of common sense apparently didn't end after the trip was over, either - I somehow managed to post even more comments in asperger that I ended up regretting despite the fact that:

A) I didn't even mention a cure for autism this time, and
B) I had a feeling it would happen just like I knew this, this, and the fact that I probably haven't heard from Schrödinger's Enya in awhile because I acted like the paparazzi countless times would.

Will I ever say anything that I won't end up regretting? :'(

Speaking of those comments in asperger, people there have pointed out that "creative tumors" isn't a good term for, well, creative tumors because it's kinda unpleasant-sounding, but I can't think of anything better. Do any of you have any ideas?

Things that won't work for a renaming of creative tumors:
- daydreaming (that would imply that I am creative enough to come up with these ideas almost constantly, rather than every now and then randomly)
- creative spasms (saying "4 or 5 years ago, the most creative spasms I had at once was four" implies that I thought about four ideas at the same time, when really I mean to say that four ideas kinda took turns distracting me)

This entry is late for your journal

So the yearbook class has to write a research paper on... *looks at sheet that was given* ...uh... digital photography by next Friday. And I have to take my SATs tomorrow. *sigh* At least it's the weekend.

pathvain_aelien I think, since she's the one who introduced me to LJ and she's my sister in real life. But if friends/sisters in real life don't count, then rovanda I think. Both of them are still in my friendslist.
