I HAVE A JOB OFFER NOW! (I've had one since earlier this week but I'm only just now posting about it) :)

In other news, here's some quizzes I took recently:

And why does the subject line make no sense? Because I found this recently:

The portable profit shocks the island against any larger chap. Why does the radio drag the doctrine? The branded bounce leans beside a percent. A surprise conforms a preferable machinery opposite the guy.

I can't believe it - I finished the creative vortex poll I mentioned I've been working on!!

cut for LOTS of length )

I hope the poll shows up...

EDIT: It did, but I accidentally put "Finish rereading" as an option when it should've been "Finish rereading therapy notes" and I can't change it now. Oh well.

Have a surprisingly good reason to repost this
matt1993: (roy 666)
Okay, this is really creepy.

For the past 666 weeks or so, I've been working on a fairly long LJ post with more images than I've made for a single post before. About as many as you'd find in the average Hyperbole and a Half post, in fact, which is why it's taken so long even though most of the images are edits of images I found online. (Of course, one of the ones that isn't is a huge graph...)

Today, my calculator (which I've made a program on to keep track of how fast I need to work if I wanna finish the graph and post this entry before the next semester of college) ran out of battery power, and since I wasn't sure if we had any more lithium batteries (since replacing the regular batteries didn't help), I made an Excel spreadsheet instead.

Now here's the creepy part. About 8-10 times today, the spreadsheet's calculations gave numbers containing 666 (e.g., 16662.somethingsomething).

Plus, recently I've been rolling 3 dice (or 4 when there were 4 unfinished parts of the entry) to determine what parts of the entry I'm allowed to work on next (e.g., if I get a 1 or 4, a 2 or 5, and a 3 or 6, it's up to me, but if I only get 2's and/or 5's I have to work on the graph); just recently, I rolled the dice, and out of 216 possible outcomes, guess what I got?

6-6-6

Even scarier is the fact that just yesterday (well, technically the day before that since it's after midnight), [livejournal.com profile] pathvain_aelien saw the dice and thought they read 6-6-6. They didn't, but still, scary how all these actual 666's ended up appearing... :O

Dip this entry in holy water

EDIT ON MAY 12, 2018: THIS IS THE OLD VERSION OF MY GLOSSARY... or at least the oldest version that was a sticky entry rather than on my profile, anyway. THE NEW GLOSSARY IS... nowhere, yet, but I'm going to FINALLY get around to updating this glossary for the first time in years after I'm done fixing all my entries on both LJ and DW.

I made this sticky entry in 2011, but then I didn't update it much after that and left it outdated for nearly SEVEN YEARS - long enough that I decide I might as well preserve the old version of the glossary, but make it no longer sticky in favor of a NEW sticky entry with the updated glossary.

Everything below this point is as the entry originally appeared, except I got rid of the lj-like buttons. The former subject line was simply "Glossary of Matt1993isms".

----

I finally got around to updating this glossary and moving it to a sticky post so that it wouldn't clutter up my profile and I could have LJ-cuts to jump to certain sections!

Although the whole point of these multiple LJ-cuts is for ease of navigation (i.e. if I reference a Matt1993ism in the definition of a Matt1993ism in a different section, I'd link to the proper section), I haven't had the time to actually go through and add all these links, so stay tuned for that. I also thought about adding artwork for certain entries *cough*/crazymegavideo/*cough*, so stay tuned for that too. :)

As I said in the old glossary, if you spot a Matt1993ism I used that I haven't defined here, or if FoxReplace messes up the "pucker up because it's time for lunch" entry again, etc., please let me know :)

EDIT: Added some more Matt1993isms and tags, but still need to add the links and artwork. I'm also pretty sure there was another Matt1993ism that I still forgot to add...

Too bad I don't have a Matt1993ism that has to do with reposting

Three different 206's have shown up today:

- I was thinking about getting a snack, and I happened to look at the clock and it was 2:05 PM, so I waited until it changed to 2:06 to leave the room to get it. (Granted, it was kinda intentional, but it didn't take that long for it to change to 2:06, so I probably would've gotten my snack at 2:06 anyway.)
- I've recently made a program on my calculator that helps me decide what homework to work on first by dividing what I put as the relative difficulty of each homework assignment (with 1 being the difficulty of a math problem) by how many hours I have to work on it.* At one point, for studying for my economics test next Monday, this turned out to be 2.069800282. Even more interesting is the fact that just before I ran the program that time, I had randomly thought about what it would be like if, once I made a PrtSc Land-styled version of this userpic next PrtSc Land Day, Schrödinger's Enya commented on it.
- I'm reading Frankenstein for English class, and I read page 206 today.

Speaking of homework, I've had a LOT of it lately. :(

And now, back to your regularly scheduled pessimism: my New Year's resolutions!

←Week 3 Week 5→

Stupid things one )

Procrastination one )

*The formula is different if I'm at school, because then it'd be best to work on short assignments first so I don't have to take them home. In that case, I have it multiply instead of divide, then take the reciprocal of the result.

Even more band names taken from conversations )

I had to spend time actually participating in drama this week since it was the last week to come up with a skit to be in and practice it, so I didn't get as many band names this week, but oh well.

Lazy SAT

I took the SAT and did well on the math section, fairly well on the reading and writing sections, and not that good on the essay. Then I went straight to sleep because I had gotten up at 5:30 AM. Yup, I wasted most of yet another day. :(

Also, happy Pi Day everyone! Here are all the digits I have memorized of pi:
3.14159265358979323846264
Yeah, not a lot. But I have recently been getting further; for a while I only knew 3.14159265359 because my TI-84 calculator would show 3.141592654 and when I subtracted 3.14159265 from that I got 3.59E-9.
EDIT: Turns out it was 3.5898E-9 and I only remembered part of that.

Reπost

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O

Go to my sticky entry for more.
