matt1993: (no you're infected!)
I am SO sick right now. I felt awful all day today and yesterday. But at least I got out of school a little early today, and since I have a college visit scheduled for tomorrow (which I can't cancel), it's technically already the weekend! Plus, I don't have too much homework considering it's the weekend!

Sneeze this post into your journal even though it's definitely not interesting enough for a repost

I've had a LOT of homework lately. That's why I haven't been on LJ in a while - I didn't have the time until just now. To make matters worse, our air card for high-speed Internet broke, so now we're having to resort to dial-up, which means that while using my computer, I have to switch back and forth between two uncomfortable positions: sitting on the floor, and laying on my bed looking down at my computer that's still on the floor but now has the screen upside-down so I can read it more easily. I have to type upside-down in the latter position, too, which means I type WAY slower. But at least it looks cool to scroll up and down like that :)

Several links I've been meaning to post for awhile:

Farmville for Dummies? Really?

A candy heart with an adult message? Really²?

A toilet video game system? Really³?

Shooting teenagers for being too mouthy? Really⁴?

And finally, as usual, my progress with my procrastination New Year's Resolution:

Now I'm done with all of my homework for this weekend. Yay! That didn't take long. Longer than [livejournal.com profile] pathvain_aelien's estimate of an hour and 45 minutes, but still not long.

Also, yet another profile name change. (When you have a generic username like mine, you feel obligated to at least change your profile name a lot.) Y'see, I wrote my informal essay over the frustration I had been having with my HAS project, and instead of "I couldn't get the converter to convert dates consistently", I put "I couldn't get the converter to consist dates consistently". So my new profile name is "I can't consist consistently." :)

I finally submitted my last HAS assignment aside from the final project! Yay!!

Now to get on with my other homework this weekend...

Colonize Mars

So this weekend was kinda frustrating at first.

Yesterday, I learned that on the six-day NASA trip I get to go to if I have a high enough grade in the HAS course, I'll have to design some sort of...something with a group. Author...well, you know the rest. But on the plus side, in history class we got to bring and play different Monopoly games, so I brought the Nintendo Monopoly game I won at Main Event! (I didn't win, though.) Still, once I got home, I stayed up until just before midnight working on my HAS essay and just before 1 working on a packet in anatomy.

Then today, I got up at 2 PM today and worked on my HAS stuff more, finishing at about 6:30. At least I don't have to worry about any homework for the rest of the weekend! Yay!

EDIT: "Today, I got up at 2 PM today?" Wow, that's redundant.

Repost directly to journal. Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200.

Only eight more hours until Spring Break ends and HAS and my research paper start devouring my free time again. If the second prediction from my dream is right, this is my last weekend before the apocalypse. *sigh*

Random quiz of the day:

QuizGalaxy.comYou will get married, and will not divorce. You will have 4 children. You will live for another 60-70 years.

Doubt it. :(

I now pronounce you journal and repost
matt1993: (infinite-paragraph essay)
I'm almost done with the HAS essay. There are a lot of things to talk about, so I'm fairly certain I'm already past 500 words, but there are some things I still haven't touched on. Then I have to make the drawing, then make the bibliography cards for the Second Research Paper of the Apocalypse, then do my math, then finish reading a chapter of A Painted House.

This is, what, the...twelfth weekend ruined in a row, I think? :( (That's assuming I didn't have one good weekend since HAS started, even though I probably did.)
matt1993: (homsar's skull)
I only have 45 more minutes of weekend. And, apparently, sometime this week, there will be a creative writing assignment in English. I hate having little-to-no creativity. :(

Random quiz (which I already knew what my result would be) just to make this post less generic:

Your Spicy Score: Mild

You don't feel like you need to spice things up. You're happy to play things cool.

You'll go along with fun, but you don't feel like you have to be the life of the party.

While people appreciate your cool vibe, as long as you're laid back and not uptight.

There's a chance you're taking yourself too seriously. Relax a little!

Spice up your journal with a repost

Last Friday, I accidentally fell asleep for a while after school (again). I better make a tag for that so I know just how many times I've posted about it. At least Martin Luther King Jr. has kept my weekend from being shorter than normal this time. Thanks, Kingy! :)

Yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] pathvain_aelien showed me how to cook Hot Pockets, followed up by Mom showing me how to cook French fries. I did a good job with both; maybe adult life won't be a disaster!

Today, [livejournal.com profile] autism, which is known for having flame wars come up everytime someone mentions Autism Speaks and/or a cure for autism, and CNN.com, which is known for having even more flame wars than autism, have morphed together to post the ULTIMATE controversial entry! And I commented on it, so wish me luck in averting the inevitable apocalyptic flame wars that I'm waiting for.

ACTion!

It's finally the weekend! Of course, I have to take the ACT tomorrow (hopefully it doesn't end up a big Crayola mess like the SAT), and I still have all of those reviews and the HAS stuff to do. Blah.

Since my posts get really generic whenever school is happening and Ours Will You 1-Up is not, here's a quiz.

You're meant for a job that is...
Spiritual
You are a spiritual person who can easily feel at one with your surroundings. You are tranquil and calm and spend a lot of time with your thoughts. Your perfect job matches are: Yoga instructor, religious leader, psychologist, baker

So the yearbook class has to write a research paper on... *looks at sheet that was given* ...uh... digital photography by next Friday. And I have to take my SATs tomorrow. *sigh* At least it's the weekend.

Just another manic Monday
Do you look forward to returning to work/school on Mondays or do you live for the weekend? What do you enjoy most about weekends? What do you dread most about school and/or work?

Answer View Answers

Weekend, PLEASE!

What I enjoy most about weekends: weekends.

What I dread most about school: school. (And essays.)

Repost (open Saturday and Sunday)
matt1993: (backmask mushroom)
I'm FINALLY done with all of my homework for this weekend!

(Course, I have been taking breaks in between homework assignments, so it wasn't as much of an overload of homework as it may seem.)

Hopefully, I can get myself to actually WORK ON OWY1U today.

Take a break

The bad news? For homework, I have some terms in history to define, an [gmajorvoice]essay outline[/gmajorvoice] in history, and a [gmajorvoice]parody of The Raven[/gmajorvoice] to write.

The good news? It's the weekend.

The rest of the bad news? I accidentally fell asleep for 3 hours once I got home.

Three-day weekend

Chilling, please.

The first two periods in school today were pretty hilarious.

In anatomy class, we got a list of safety procedures. #3 is:

"3. Students who are pregnant, taking immunosuppressive drugs, or who have any other medical condition (e.g., diabetes, immunological defect) that might necessitate special precautions in the laboratory must inform the instructor immediately."

And yet the student handbook for our school says that pregnancy and other Level Four offenses can result in expulsion from school. (I don't think these safety procedures were written by our school, but still)

In Bible class, we got a handout of class requirements, grading criteria, and the like. The header says:

"Junior and Senior Boys Bible 2009-20010"

Great. I only have [anyonewhoreferencesthatstupidmemewillbegivenaboottothehead]9000½[/anyonewhoreferencesthatstupidmemewillbegivenaboottothehead] years to study for my midterm exams.

I had a lot more homework today than I did yesterday, but at least it's the weekend!

Weekend Trek

It's finally the weekend. That took forever. Only one more week to go!

In about an hour and one minute I'll leave to watch Star Trek. Can't wait!

Random quiz for today:

Intelligence
Intelligence is most important in a boyfriend/girlfriend. You like to be able to talk about everything that is on your mind, and if your partner can't keep up, well, you know. You are very attracted to someone who can challenge you, and make you see things in a whole new way.

Beam me to your journal, Scotty

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O
