matt1993: (updated prtsc land me)
So, as I vaguely said in my previous entry, I still haven't even started making a remake of PrtSc Land even though I'd always said I wanted to starting on the 10th or 12th or 15th or (some other nice number)th anniversary of it - and I'd always been hoping that it would be the tenth anniversary, specifically.

But there is one way I thought of to celebrate it, or at least celebrate the date August 12, 2006 itself: by posting the strips that several comics BESIDES mine happened to run on that date or the nearest date possible! In roughly the order that I first became interested in each of these comics!

Yep - I created my LJ account on August 19, 2007. Sad how the anniversary of LJ should happen to be the day after I accidentally deleted a lot of LJ-related stuff, though... in fact, I was so busy after that happened, I didn't get to finish this post until the day after the anniversary of my LJ. :(

I also wanted to include LJ comment stats (which I said I'd do every three months starting on the fourth anniversary, but ended up deciding to just do once every year), but since this post is already late, I'll post them later.

First line of my first entry on or after the 19th of every month )

I'm finally done with my second semester of college! Although so far, the only courses I know for sure I passed are Computer Science (with a B) and Chemistry Lab (with I'm not sure what). I did feel more confident about Computer Architecture and Chemistry class than I did with Computer Science, though. No idea about Statistics, though :(

I used to be good at math! In first grade, while the rest of the class was taught addition and subtraction, I was taught that and multiplication, and as those of you know, I took Calculus I as a high school junior and did well in it. Whatever happened to that?

Ah well, at least I get to relax for...about 12 days, because I have to take two summer classes and one of them's English II. :( So I'm probably still not going to catch up on my friends page yet if I want to have even the slightest chance of getting done with my program to prioritize everything before I need it for my summer classes.

Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] krickadoodle, [livejournal.com profile] squidmuse, [livejournal.com profile] barrakuda_a, [livejournal.com profile] hartlyn, [livejournal.com profile] karla_somebody, [livejournal.com profile] gettingoutthere, [livejournal.com profile] kandigurl (I think I already wished you happy birthday on Facebook on time, but still), and [livejournal.com profile] darkdragoonfan! (I know, I'm too pathetic to wish any of my LJ friends a happy birthday on time...)

Back to the Future
Given the choice of time travel, would you go back in time or forward?

Answer View Answers

So I know I answered this question already, but now I have an even better idea than anything I mentioned in that entry.

I've got way too many creative vortexes to ever hope of getting rid of them and thus finally becoming able to focus on anything at all for more than 20 seconds, right? Well, wouldn't it be cool if, just before my second year of college starts, if I'm not done with my creative vortexes by then (which will probably be the case), I could time-travel back and forth between different points in the summer to get the rest done?

Here's an approximation of how it'd work: I go through my first day of classes that year as normal, do any homework I have, then go back in time to the first night of the summer and start working on creative vortexes some more (going forwards in time to the next night just before morning as needed) until I'm actually tired, then go forwards in time to where I left off in college and go to bed.

Then I'd just repeat this process until I run out of days of summer to repeat, then I'd start going back in time again to replace each of my solo time-travelling all-nighters (in order, one by one) with team efforts by two future Matts. If I don't finish that way, I'll go back again to add another Matt to the team, and so on until I finally finish. (It'd be a bit like the game Cursor × 10.) Once I finish, I'd go back and continue college as normal (except with much more ability to focus).

How neat would that be?!

Repost: The Movie

200th post!

matt1993: (afer ventus or the river sings backwards)
For my 200th LJ entry (my profile will say 201, but that's because I haven't deleted the welcome entry that's automatically made for new users), I decided to do something completely pointless: take the first word from my first post, the second word from my second post, the third word from my third post, and so on, all the way up to this one. (If post #X has Y words, and Y is less than X, then the remainder of X ÷ Y is Z, and I use the Zth word instead, or the last if Z is zero.) And yes, this is a ripoff of 160 Seconds.

So here goes )

Context )

While doing this, I've noticed that I have quite a few posts that are exactly 48 words long, by the way. Coincidence?

On a less pointless note, I had to get my braces tightened again today. And this time, there are rubber bands holding the top and bottom braces together (which have to be changed every time I eat or brush my teeth, and also before I go to bed), so it probably won't pull a my wisdom teeth this time. :(

So I just now finished my Tuesdays with Morrie project. Yay!! *can have my the last four days of summer in peace*

And I've recently noticed something else that annoys me: the fact that my mom uses whatever is closest to write names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, passwords, and calculations on instead of taking the time to find something blank rather than something that might be important later on. My reasoning: For my Tuesdays with Morrie project, there is a sheet of paper that we have to fill out, and on the back we have to write why we chose the quote we chose. Mom, being... well... Mom, had written on the back of said sheet of paper, and so I had to type up the front side in WordPad instead, print it out, and write on the back of it. I don't know if points will be counted off for it yet.

Now it's Buffy time. And then Mario Party 4 time. (yes, I've recently been going through older games that aren't Super Mario World)

I finished reading Tuesdays with Morrie for the project I have to do over the summer.

The good news? I liked the book. I agreed with pretty much everything Morrie said.

The bad news? Starting tomorrow, I have to start working on the project; in case you haven't read the other post about my projects, I have to write an essay (or maybe - hopefully - just a paragraph, I forget) about the most important word, phrase, or sentence from the story.

*sigh*

Tuesdays with reposts
matt1993: (updated prtsc land me)
I haven't posted about this before, but towards the end of school I was assigned two reading projects to do over the summer. One is about Tuesdays with Morrie, and we have to write about the most important word, phrase, or sentence, and for the other one we get to choose from seven books (I chose The Crucible) and we have to make a posterboard.

So I was working on the latter today, and I was looking for images of some of the main characters and some other things pertaining to the book on Google Images. One thing I searched for is "yellow bird". Look what I got:

Big Bird showing up in a Google search for "yellow bird"

Can you show me how to get, how to get to the witch trials? :P

I admit it's not as funny as this, but...

This post is brought to you by the letter W and the number 666

*sigh*

"Is it Friday, summer, and/or the apocalypse yet?"

Where can I return my spring break for a full refund?

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O
