I think there's a glitch in my copy of Windows 7. It says today's date is "1/1/2018". I thought the year 2018 didn't exist - didn't the world end in 2017?

Well... it's September 4. So Sunday was the first anniversary of the day I was finally motivated - by a glitch LJ had for about three weeks where a lot of images were suddenly broken in entries - to finally get around to fixing the broken images AND everything else I wanted to fix in my entries on both LJ and DW.

pathvain_aelien stayed at my apartment for a while; in that time we watched the How To Train Your Dragon TV show! (Specifically, the third of the three shows there were. P_A, what was the third show called again? Dragons: Race to the Edge.) We made it to season 4. :) Have any of you watched it?

For whatever reason, I only made two Miiverse posts in March 2013. I have no idea why I posted so few of them that month even though it was when I was still pretty obsessed with Miiverse, or why I somehow still ended up two weeks behind my self-imposed schedule for these Miiverse rerun entries regardless.

I'm fanboying so much right now that I'm fanGIRLing!... yeah okay, I guess that makes no sense whatsoever, but oh well. :P


Wait... how can this movie even exist?? I thought Nintendo and Illumination were already working on an animated Mario movie – is Nintendo working on the animated movie AND Mary O. & Yamamura at the same time for some reason? And as much as I like the Super Mario Maker Crash Course comics, the fact remains that it's just an eight-episode-long tutorial for making good Super Mario Maker levels - how can ANYONE possibly adapt it into a full-length movie?? And how did they manage to convince Enya, of all people, to be in it as such an obscure character? Did they, like, trick her into it?

...Okay, why am I looking a gift unicorn in the esophagus? MARY O., the most underrated fictional character I know of, is going to be in a MOVIE. Played by ENYA. This is the best thing that has happened to me this decade. :D


And yes, I KNOW, I KNOW, people are upset that they didn't get a Japanese actress for Mary O., and I respect their opinions. But come on... Enya music notwithstanding, I never thought my ♯1 celebrity crush OR my ♯1 fictional character crush would be in a movie whatsoever!! Now the former is going to be PLAYING the latter??

You'll probably all hate me for this (and I know I say that a lot, but I'm even more sure of it this time...), but sorry, I personally am NOT going to miss out on this movie!!

To me, this is going to be the best movie EVER!

...well, unless there turns out to be a catch to it, like maybe a certain YouTuber who makes up theories about video games that a lot of his fans take too seriously and blindly accept as fact is also in this movie or something. But that would never happen!

Personally I opted to do this for my LJ and DW entries separately AND combined, and post all three versions of each to both LJ and DW. Which means this took about six times as long to make as it usually does...

You can also tell because I tried to skew the colors of the LJ-only ones towards LJ-blue and away from DW-red/pink, and vice versa for the DW-only ones. Looking at how some of the color schemes turned out, though, I might need to adjust my algorithm before my 2018 Wordle Year in Review...

Hey, there's an idea for a totally nerdy survey...

This page has a table (several paragraphs down from the beginning of that section...) that lists the dates every* Super Smash Bros. character debuted (because in SSB4, the order you fight them in All-Star Mode is based on that).

My LJ was created on August 19, 2007 - the character whose debut was closest to that is Rosalina (November 1, 2007).

Does anyone know of a way that it's still possible to edit or delete an entry? Because for me, any attempt to do that leads to me being redirected to a page called "Edit Journal Entries" that allows me to choose to edit an entry... only to be redirected to that page again.

You probably noticed this entry - I was trying to write commentary on that entire entry, but I couldn't finish it all that night, so I decided to set up what I had so far as a scheduled entry to be posted exactly 5 years after I first did that meme, which would be tomorrow, and then finish it later. The problem is, I forgot to postpone it and so it was posted then, and now I can't edit or delete it. All I can do is finish that entry, post the final copy of it as a separate entry, and hope that this all makes sense to you...

Yep - I created my LJ account on August 19, 2007. Sad how the anniversary of LJ should happen to be the day after I accidentally deleted a lot of LJ-related stuff, though... in fact, I was so busy after that happened, I didn't get to finish this post until the day after the anniversary of my LJ. :(

I also wanted to include LJ comment stats (which I said I'd do every three months starting on the fourth anniversary, but ended up deciding to just do once every year), but since this post is already late, I'll post them later.
