Lately I've just had SO MUCH to do that not only do I not get much time to relax, but whenever I do get to take a break, it's usually not actually that relaxing because I still end up thinking about the stuff that has to get done soon.

As I mentioned a while back, I've been working on that physics research project as a part-time job. The conference that I have to attend is coming up soon (it's from March 31 to April 2), and at some point before that (probably THIS WEEK), I'll have to completely wear myself out putting together the information for the poster so I can present it. Hopefully this is the last time I ever have to give a presentation about this project... but with my luck, there will probably be about three more conferences I have to present at. :(

Not only that, but even though I have a part-time job already, I'm now required to look at two listings for potential full-time jobs every week. And I've been having to do more of the chores at home... which I'm not very good at remembering to do. AND recently there was a whole bunch of paperwork I had to do, AND I had to update my résumé recently, AND there's probably more things like that that I'll have to do soon... and so on and so forth.

About 117 days until I get to be happy again...

I'm definitely not even close to being ready to be an adult, even though I'm SUPPOSED to be because I was in college for 4½ years. :(

This entry does not get a repost button because it is friends-only. I decided to make this and the next one public because of later public entries that mention this conference.

In other news, about a year ago today I got over my depression about the Forbidden Comment Threads just in time for Christmas, and in fact, got over it for the longest period of time so far; in fact, at the time I'd thought I'd gotten over it completely. But now I'm not only still depressed about it about half of the time, I'm also depressed about anything that even vaguely reminds me of the Forbidden Comment Threads (and now, many more things fall under this category), and just as much as when the Forbidden Comment Threads were actually happening. So I don't see myself nearly overcoming it again this year. I'll probably be happier on Christmas Day, but aside from the fact that I'm still not depressed every moment of my life, that's it. :(

Thanks for ruining my life, [livejournal.com profile] asperger. And commenters in [livejournal.com profile] news. And the Facebook group I Have a LiveJournal!. And too many more things to name.
matt1993: (infinite-paragraph essay)
Here is all the homework I had to do today:

- a chapter review for Economics
- some Physics problems
- yet another paper to write for Spanish
- citing another source for the Research Paper of the Apocalypse
- writing a note from said source

This wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have ALL OF THESE ON THE SAME DAY. Ugh. I'm finally done, but now it's 9:31 PM and I'm so tired that I might as well go to bed even though it's not my bedtime yet. :(

For the record, I've tried cleaning my apocalypse before, but when I put my 666 stuff with my clocks showing irregular times, I accidentally spilled my 666-flavored water on them and short-circuited them. And then my frozen pets melted on them, too. I had to ask The Back of Us for new ones.

matt1993: (pass)
Well, my midterms began today.

Government - For our Government midterm (or technically final, since we only have it one semester), we pretended to be the House of Representatives and the Senate, came up with one House bill and one Senate bill yesterday, and today we had a mock debate on which to pass. I had trouble coming up with a point to make that someone else hadn't already made; I only managed to do so once. :(

Bible - Our "midterm" was just to write a little about what we liked and didn't like about Bible class this year and what should be different next year.

Physics - Since Physics is basically math, I had no problem with it :)

Tomorrow are the two hardest classes - English and Speech. Blah. Bleh. Blih. Bloh. Bluh. And sometimes blyh.

In other news, I don't know why I didn't mention this before, but on Saturday I took the ACT for the last time with accommodations. I completed all of the multiple-choice sections! However, I only managed to write two paragraphs for the essay :(

EDIT: Whoa, 550th post! :D

"Being able to travel faster than the speed of light would lead to a wide variety of bizarre consequences. For instance, an astronaut moving faster than it would theoretically arrive at a destination before leaving."

A woman with what appears to be a cell phone mysteriously appears in a 1928 Charlie Chaplin movie.

Coincidence? I think not. Hey time traveller, could you please buy me a cure for autism?

Would you rather be super-rich or super-smart if you would only be average in the other category?

Super-smart, of course.

Like mobile for chocolate
If you had to give up either chocolate or your mobile phone forever, which would you sacrifice?

Answer View Answers

Probably my mobile phone, because I'm not a stereotypical teen that has tons of friends and text messages them every day hour minute second Planck time.

But, since I do need to call or text people sometimes, I wouldn't want to give up either one.

And if you call in the next ten Planck times, we'll repost this in your journal absolutely free!

Last ITED tests. Today was social studies, science, and reference materials. See if you can guess which of these I did the best on. ;)

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O
