Remember how yesterday I promised I'd start catching up on my friends page? Well, apparently, even though it's been 4 months since the Forbidden Comment Threads, just looking at my friends page (which I've removed posts in [livejournal.com profile] asperger from) somehow made me worried that the same sort of drama will happen somewhere else on LJ soon (even while I read interesting/funny/cute posts, the back of my mind couldn't shake this feeling), and eventually sent me into depression that felt exactly the same as the depression I had during the Forbidden Comment Threads. I'm feeling better right now, but it's likely that, once again, I'll only feel okay during the day.

Oh, the things I do to stay in touch with you awesome people...

Rant about this

Oh, Matt... :(

There's drama everywhere on LJ and other online communities, it seems. It just sucks that you have to get caught up in this stuff. Seems as if you have a way of dealing with it in this case, though.

To me, there can be funny online drama - that is, if it doesn't happen to me or my good friends. I'm currently debating whether or not to take a break from a hockey group on FB because one of the mods used an offensive C-word to describe a Chinese soccer player this afternoon. Yeah, he's from Europe and doesn't understand these cultural things (despite his wife telling him OVER AND OVER), and it wasn't directed personally at me, but... *sigh*

Hahaha! That actually cheered me up! Maybe I can declare that mod comment non-canon! :D

Fair enough. I can understand why you'd feel that way! :(

While I can appreciate why you'd want to do that (since I'm somewhat like that myself), do you think it would just depress you even more if you did such a thing?

You know yourself better than I do, so I trust you on this one. :)

*hug*

Cutie, that level of drama doesn't come along often, and when it does it is usually easily spotted if you want to avoid it.

Also, I think your idea of what constitutes a stupid comment is pretty harsh, at least when it comes to your own comments. Without perfect knowledge of a situation, none of us can avoid making mistakes, but that doesn't mean what we say is stupid, it just means that we have to act upon the limited understanding to which each of us is subject. The internet is packed full of real, jaw-dropping stupidity, but I haven't yet seen it from you. Well-meaning mistakes, on occasion, but not stupidity.

I'm sorry my comment reminded you of LJ drama. Please don't let it get you down, all that crap is just foolishness. ♥

Try not to let things get you down until they actually happen! Unfortunately, stuff like that is everywhere, so just try your best to ignore it and to spend time with things that make you laugh. :)

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O

Go to my sticky entry for more.
