HWHD × ∫-∞x dx. YESTERDAY WAS THE MOST AWESOME DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE.

It all started when, right after school, I saw this little piece of paper sticking out of the grass just outside the school building. I was curious as to what it was, and as it turns out, IT WAS AN ENYA CONCERT TICKET!!!!!! AND IN THE FRONT ROW, AT THAT!!!!!! I wasn't sure if it was real or fake, since if there were ever an Enya concert, [livejournal.com profile] pathvain_aelien would certainly have told me about it. I also figured that, even if everyone else at school liked Enya, there wouldn't any chance of anyone else at school just leaving an Enya concert ticket lying around.

Nevertheless, the concert was supposed to be in Texas, so I showed up at the airport that the concert was supposed to be at, just in case there was one. You couldn't imagine my surprise when the security guard ACTUALLY ACCEPTED MY TICKET! The conversation went like:

SECURITY GUARD: Enjoy the show!
ME: WHOA! Enya really IS having a concert here tonight?!
SECURITY GUARD: Of course there is - you just handed me your ticket to it!
ME: *speechless*

So, obviously, I LOVED the show! I got to hear all of my favorite Enya songs. On My Way Home, Orinoco Flow, Angeles, White Is in the Winter Night, Caribbean Blue, I Want Tomorrow, The Celts, Storms in Africa, Trains and Winter Rains, Stars and Midnight Blue, Dreams Are More Precious...you name it! And all of them sounded even better live! (And to think Enya had been worried that they'd sound less ethereal in a concert...) And, of course, Enya herself was as beautiful as ever. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Not only that, but Enya EVEN STUCK AROUND TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS!!!! Not even this was the best part, though. Or at least it wasn't directly the best part. See, I got to tell her how much I loved her music (and how much I loved her ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥), but right before she got to start writing an autograph for me, the fire alarm at the airport went off. And indeed, there really were fires spreading quickly toward the autograph booth, which must've really scared Enya, since she fainted. Strangely, all of Enya's security guards seemed preoccupied with getting out of the building themselves and/or calling 911, since none of them tried to save Enya or even noticed her fainting. So guess what I did?

I SAVED HER MYSELF.

You heard that right. I have no idea how my instincts managed to get something right for the first time in my life, especially considering what had happened at Little Caesar's earlier that day, but I grabbed her, hoping she wouldn't wake up while I had her, and started carrying her out of the building. Unfortunately, she did wake up about halfway out, which made things extremely awkward for the rest of the escape:

ENYA: HEY! Put me down! GUARDS! Get him to put me down!
ME: Well, it's either this or me leaving you to die in that fire!
ENYA: Well, I'd rather die than be carried away by some obsessed fan that I don't know isn't--

By that point, we were a safe distance away from the building, so I put her down.

ENYA: (starting to cry a little) ...You...saved my life!
ME: *is hit with realization* Whoa! I did save you?!
ENYA: <sarcasm>No. Actually, you killed me.</sarcasm> YES, you saved my life! Remember the fire and you carrying me out of the building? Does that ring a bell?
ME: Well, yeah, of course I did, but I'm still like, "I saved Enya?!"
ENYA: It's not every day that you get to save the life of your celebrity crush, is it? How can I ever repay you?
ME: Well, even though knowing that I've saved your life is amazing enough, could I have a hug? That would make it even more amazing!
ENYA: A hug? Why not a kiss?
ME: I'm only 17. A kiss would be kinda weird.

And so we hugged. Yes - we hugged. It felt so wonderful to put my arms around her and feel her arms around me... *sigh* ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

And luckily, the photos that Enya was autographing had not been burnt, so she finally wrote an autograph for me. It said:

Matt,

Thank you again for saving me! You are so sweet and thoughtful. Thank you so much for being a fan!

Love,
Enya Brennan

Ahaha as soon as I read about the ticket I was like "something is awry," although I didn't make the connection to April Fool's.

Besides, I thought the best day of your life was supposed to be the worst day of my life, and my day was pretty good.

Oh, my...

How very sweet and silly! *rolls about on floor*... As for a concert, you may one day get your chance...

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O
