This sure is a lot of parts for Team Brennario to still not have even one Star yet.

←Part 4 (edited) & Part 5 Part 7→

This time, Enya licked the checkpoint flag, which turned the same shade of blue as her outfit, with the Bowser symbol changed to a gold circle with the e from Enya's wordmark.

Ahead was a patch of mud, which slowed down Mario and Luigi when they tried to walk through it, allowing a...flying chipmunk?...to fly into Luigi (so they can hurt us). Strangely, though, Enya and I were able to run right through it. I'm guessing that that has something to do with being part Yoshi. As Enya took the coin up ahead (with so many coins and Star Bits laying around, shouldn't the chipmunks and Octhipmunks have managed to get them all first?), I took off my shoe to check if I had a Yoshi foot. It still looked human, but since I've never seen a Yoshi's feet, I wouldn't know.

To the right was a slightly larger patch of mud and sand with stone platforms with wheels circling the planet past it. Why do they need wheels if they can roll on thin air above several black holes without being sucked into any of them? Anyway, the Mario Bros. and I went through the sand to the grass on the other side, while Enya went onto one of the stone platforms.

"I'm gonna see where this thing leads," she stated.

"Okey-dokey!" agreed Mario.

There wasn't very much up ahead that we could get through without leaving the stone platforms - just two more crystals (one with some Star Bits in it), two more flying chipmunks, another patch of mud, an Octhipmunk (which managed to hit Luigi with a rock), and a Star Bit that came out of a patch of tall grass when Luigi went through it. It took about fifteen more seconds for Enya to come around the planet and join us.

"Just another 1-Up Mushroom," she said, hopping off the platform.

I have a couple of questions:

1) I wanted to make the distribution of hits, deaths, etc. as realistic as possible (i.e. Team Brennario gets hit about as often in MSL as Mario would in the actual Super Mario Galaxy 2), as well as make the writing more fun, so for the part where the Mario Bros. and Moya fight the Paragoombas and Octoomba while Enya gets the 1-Up Mushroom, I drew a tiny map of that part of the planet in MS Paint and "played" through that section as if I were playing Dungeons & Dragons (complete with dice and made-up initiative modifiers for Team Brennario and the Octoomba), then summarized it. Even though I drew as little as possible (a single red pixel for Mario, a single green pixel in a shade different from that of the grass for Luigi, etc.), it kinda took a while, and I accidentally made a second Enya join them until I remembered that Enya wasn't actually supposed to be there.

2) After I finish writing MSL, I'm gonna go through and add artwork (attempting to finish from November 1 to November 30 next year, or whatever year I finish writing). I was thinking of also making userpics of Enya and Moya using each of the SMG2 powerups (except the Spin Drill since there is no costume change for it), as well as userpics of a Cosmic Enya and a Cosmic Moya. I'm unsure of how many separate userpics I should make, though.

Poll #1646471 Dilemmas from outer space

Should I keep making D&D-like boards for Moya's Space Log, or go back to making up who gets hit when as I go along?

Yes
No

How should I make my Moya's Space Log userpics?

22 individual userpics: one of Fire Enya, one of Fire Moya, one of Rainbow Enya, etc.
11 userpics depicting Enya & Moya with same powerup side by side (or Cosmic Enya & Cosmic Moya side by side)
11 animated userpics alternating between Fire Enya & Fire Moya or Rainbow Enya & Rainbow Moya or whatever every few seconds
Userpic cycling through Enya with all powerups, userpic cycling through Moya with all powerups, Cosmic Enya userpic, and Cosmic Moya userpic
Userpic cycling through Enya & Moya side by side with all powerups, and userpic of Cosmic Enya & Cosmic Moya side by side
Draw them as Super Mario World-styled sprites and fit them all (including Cosmic) into one userpic

EDIT: In that last option, when I said "onto one userpic," I meant one non-animated userpic.

EDOT: WTCN? I totally messed up that first question. How is "Should I keep making D&D-like boards for Moya's Space Log, or go back to making up who gets hit when as I go along?" a yes or no question?! The yes and no were intended to refer to the part of the question before the comma (i.e. yes means keep making D&D boards, and no means make up hits as I go along).

"Why do they need wheels if they can roll on thin air above several black holes without being sucked into any of them?" We will never know. :) That reminds me of Twilight Princess and I think Windwaker, where there are these moving floor black hole things that can grab you if you get to close. If they are black holes, why don't they just suck you in anyway? Why do they have arms? I have no idea, but I like them.

It's hard to describe this journal in just a few paragraphs... but I'll try

Just an autistic guy born in 1993 (hence the username) who's had this journal since I was 14. Has trouble phrasing things well especially in earlier entries, so keep that in mind.

My interests have fluctuated in the 17 years since I've had this journal, but the following has remained constant:
- I like Mario games (mainly the platformers, Mario Kart, Mario Party) and Super Smash Bros.
- I like Garfield
- I like Homestar Runner
- I like Enya
- And I've always loved the idea of wacky crossovers between ANY of my interests, whether it's in the form of a short-lived webcomic in 2006-2008, a short-lived backwards lyrics site in 2008, writing down weird dreams in 2009-2011, playing Tomodachi Life a lot in 2014-2016, or what most of my posts are about these days: playing around with Character.AI starting in 2023. I still can't believe I'm actually in a world where an AI of Enya can talk to AIs of Mario or Garfield or even my favorite obscure characters like Mary O. from Super Mario Maker. :O
