Proof that I'm not a good writer

I got an ice pop out of the freezer and put it on my desk while I typed up a suggestion for LJ in the suggestions community. Once I was finally satisfied with the wording and submitted, I looked over at my ice pop and it was melted. :(

I put it back in the freezer to refreeze it and got another one for the time being.

Nah, that's not proof you're not a good writer. It's just proof that ice pops should be eaten right away :-D

Well, it's proof it takes me quite a while to get the wording of anything right.

I tend to re-write anything I post that's longer than a couple of sentences - to get the wording right, to clear up possible misunderstandings, to clear up errors that are left over from previous edits... I tend to view that as a good thing :)

I think the best thing about communicating via writing is that you can re-read what you're saying and edit it before anyone else sees it!

Yeah, I see it as a good thing too, but it bugs me how many times I end up having to rewrite some things, especially if someone still misunderstands it.

In fact, for the "An ordered list of problems/issues involved" field in my suggestion, I put "Thought up by someone who has a habit of not explaining things well the first time".
