This is one of the reasons why I still like LJ better.

I'll have to remember to manually cross-post this to DW when it's back up. IF THAT EVER HAPPENS.

EDIT: Well, that was faster than I expected! But I still like LJ better.

90% of the time dw tells you in advance when it will be down and how long for. When it goes go down it is pretty short.

LJ was down often and with no notice last I was on it. Personally I prefer DW. and its owner. But each to its own.

DW didn't tell me about this one. It did turn out to be pretty short though. I pretty much finished venting about it on LJ only to be like "Hey, DW's back! Now I can cross-post it over there!"

I remember a few times when LJ was down but they did put notices out pretty far in advance (those times I'm remembering were probably years ago though). Sometimes LJ had outages due to DDoS attacks that I somehow wasn't affected by at all - maybe that's why I haven't found it as annoying as some have.

As long as you still don't judge me for liking LJ, I'm fine. :)

And it turns out that even a year after this whole LJ/DW thing happened (and even a year after the first time anyone on DW reassured me that they don't hate whoever still likes LJ), apparently my subconscious is still interpreting any sort of "I like DW better than LJ because of this" statement as hating whoever likes LJ even though I should know by now that it isn't. :( (And this also means I probably won't feel better about the Quidd stuff until at least 14 months after that, which will be another year from now...)

Any suggestions on how to stop worrying about either of these for good?
