The name game
What's the origin of your username? If you could change it to anything else, would you, and what would it be?

I've rarely been unique when it comes to usernames, so when I joined Neopets (I know this is about LJ, I'm getting to that), I wanted to have my username just be "matt", but since that was already taken, it generated some usernames consisting of "matt" followed by random numbers and asked me to pick one. I chose "matt1140142774271".
For a while, I would use matt1140142774271 as my username on other websites I joined as well. However, when I tried doing this with LJ, since my first LiveJournal password (it has been changed several times since then [really, it has {so trying to hack into my account will be a waste of time}]) was "5cr33n5h075" (because of PrtSc Land, the webcomic I used to do that wasn't actually online at the time), LJ said that my username and password were too similar (which is kinda weird, because the only characters they share are a 0 and a 7), so
pathvain_aelien (who was helping me set up my account) suggested making my username "matt1993" instead.
And that's how my username ended up being my first name and the year I was born instead of my first name and a random 13-digit number. :)
