What was the first video or computer game you ever played? Did you love it or hate it, and why?

I'm not sure if it's the first video game I ever played, but the first video games I remember playing are Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros. Of the two, I played Super Mario World more often, so I'll go with that one.
As you can tell from my userpic, I loved it! I can't put my finger on any single reason (or even a few reasons) why I did, though. But to this day, it still remains my all-time favorite video game. I do have other, newer favorites like New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, but Super Mario World still remains my #1 favorite, and even though I rarely have time to play it anymore, I have some of the music from it on my iPod and am thinking about making SMW-themed mood icons for my LJ.
