I am so lucky that I never used Photobucket in the first place... there's enough stuff I need to fix in my LJ and DW entries without there also being Photobucket pictures to move to ScrapBook or whatever the DW equivalent of ScrapBook is called or Imgur. :(
It wasn't so disheartening when there was a roundabout way I could still see images other people uploaded to Photobucket (just removed from their original context in the posts or threads or whatever), but now that doesn't seem to work anymore. Why does Photobucket think an image hosting site where no one can see the images ever unless users pay to have their images visible is a good idea? (It would've been better if Photobucket had had it that way from the start or at least WARNED people significantly far in advance that they would make that change, but they didn't.)
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised (much) if they even managed to take down something that's not even hosted ON Photobucket... :(
